A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Kazakhstan Entrepreneurship Development Fund "Damu" and the Development Fund of Georgia

The Executive Director of the Development Fund of Georgia, Besik Bugianishvili attended the 12th session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Georgia and Kazakhstan held in Astana. Within the framework of the session, Bugianishvili signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation between the Development Fund of Georgia and Kazakhstan’s Entrepreneurship Development Fund “Damu.” The goal of the memorandum is to support small and medium enterprises, create joint projects, and deepen cooperation between the two countries state funds.

The meeting was co-chaired by Levan Davitashvili, Georgia’s First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, and also attended by Dimitri Khorava, the Director of the Development Fund of Georgia’s Investment Department.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of trade and economic relations between the two countries, as well as regional transport and infrastructure issues. Attention was focused on priority areas such as bilateral trade, transport and logistics, energy, information technology, telecommunications, civil aviation, tourism, investments, and more.

“This memorandum is an important step forward in enhancing cooperation between the state funds of the two countries to support small and medium-sized enterprises. The memorandum provides for the facilitation of joint projects through the sharing of experiences in commercial, industrial, and technical cooperation. The ultimate goal of this collaboration is to strengthen and develop entrepreneurship both in Georgia and Kazakhstan,” stated Besik Bugianishvili, Executive Director of the Development Fund of Georgia.
